Terms of Use
Effective July 16, 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Easy Books, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use Easy Books for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms on its behalf.
2. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access. Use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication when available. Sessions end after 60 minutes of inactivity.
3. Permitted use
You may use Easy Books only for lawful bookkeeping, accounting support, reporting, and related business purposes. You must have the right to upload, enter, access, and process all information submitted to the service.
4. Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- Access another account or company’s information without authorization.
- Attempt to bypass security, authentication, access controls, rate limits, or audit logging.
- Upload malicious code or use the service to distribute unlawful, harmful, or infringing material.
- Interfere with service availability, probe the service for vulnerabilities without permission, or misuse automated access.
- Reverse engineer or copy the service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
5. Your data and responsibilities
You retain responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, legality, and proper backup of information you submit. You should review imported transactions, classifications, reconciliations, reports, and calculations before relying on them.
6. Accountant access
Company users may invite and authorize accountants to access their books. Company users are responsible for selecting authorized accountants and removing access when it is no longer appropriate. Accountants must use access only for the company-authorized purpose and protect all information they can access.
7. Not professional advice
Easy Books is a bookkeeping tool and does not provide legal, tax, investment, or professional accounting advice. Reports and calculations do not replace review by a qualified professional. You remain responsible for filings, payments, compliance, and business decisions.
8. Service availability and changes
We may maintain, update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. You are responsible for retaining copies of records needed for your business or legal obligations.
9. Third-party services
Easy Books may rely on or interact with third-party services, including hosting and email-delivery providers. Their services may be governed by separate terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
10. Suspension and termination
Access may be suspended or terminated for a material violation of these terms, a security threat, unlawful activity, nonpayment where applicable, or at the direction of the organization administering your account. You may stop using the service at any time.
11. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Easy Books is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Easy Books and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from use of or inability to use the service.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service or applicable requirements change. Continued use after updated terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms where permitted by law.
14. Contact
For questions about these terms, contact your Easy Books account administrator or the organization that provided your Easy Books account.
